DNS Lookup

Look up public A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, and TXT records for a domain. This uses public DNS resolvers. It cannot see your home router's private names.

How this tool works

Your browser asks this website for a DNS lookup. The server queries public resolvers (Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 and Google 8.8.8.8) for the requested name only, it never fetches the website itself.

Lookups are rate-limited. Timeouts and missing types show a plain message, not a technical dump.

Important limitations

Results are what those public resolvers see right now. They can differ from your PC's DNS cache or your ISP. This is not a check that your Wi-Fi works.

Frequently asked questions

Why are some record types missing?

Many domains have no CNAME on the apex name, or no IPv6 (AAAA). Empty types are normal. A complete miss on every type usually means a typo or a name that does not exist on the public internet.

Can I look up an IP address?

No. This tool only accepts ordinary public domain names so it cannot be used to probe internal network addresses.
